Sean Kelley’s: Motivator Minute Laziness is Not the Problem

Sean : Managers cite laziness as the reason employees don’t act. Laziness is seldom the problem. In fact, to get action, there’s six barriers that a leader must break through and laziness just isn’t one of them. First, they have to hear you. Second, they have to listen to you, then they got to understand where you’re coming from and what your expectations are. And if those three things are in order, then they need to agree with you. And fourth, they must have the ability to take action and fifth, they have to want to do it. And finally, there must be a need to ensure action and if the leader has done their part, to help the employee break through those barriers than 99% of the time, people will act, but a verbal directive alone without the accompanying support it takes to break through those barriers.
